Vegan Yoghurt Garlic Bread

Though Fruity Friday's focus may be on our lovely fruit and veggies that we adore so much, ultimately we're aiming to help save as much food as possible from going to waste-so today's Fruity Friday is a wonderful recipe using your leftover yoghurt to make the universally loved garlic bread with a twist!


Ingredients:

  • Plain yoghurt

  • Self raising flour

  • Salt

  • A teaspoon of smoked paprika

  • A teaspoon of mixed herbs

  • Garlic paste

  • Dollop of butter

  • A sprinkle of [vegan] cheese

Recipe:

  1. Mix together equal parts plain yoghurt and self raising flour to an amount you desire, then mix with a generous pinch of salt, a teaspoon of smoked paprika and a teaspoon of mixed herbs

  2. Cook for 15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius in a preheated oven

  3. Take out of the oven and spread a little bit of butter, garlic paste, and sprinkle on some [vegan] cheese and any toppings you would like as well!

  4. Bake for a further 10-15 minutes, until it’s cooked through and the cheese is melted

Add a garlic butter dip for added deliciousness-you could also make dough balls as shown in the slides with this recipe!
